Overview

The Old Town of Tallinn is one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Europe and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is the most famous sight in Estonia for foreign visitors.

Tallinn Old Town is surrounded by a city wall and numerous defense towers that have stood the test of time. Many of them are also open to visitors. The streets are covered with centuries-old cobblestones and are lined with former magnificent merchant houses and several medieval churches. The viewing platforms of Toompea offer scenic views of the Old Town and the surrounding area.

Many top Estonian restaurants and cafes are also located in the Old Town of Tallinn, where you can taste some delicious food and drinks and enjoy the atmosphere.
